A long day at office
Umm.. Last day was supposed to be a quick friday for me where I could get home early. But it turned out to be a nightmare. Checked in at office at 11 AM and found there were some bugs I need to fix before doing the final production release. To add to it, my computer was starting to act up. Tried moving to Xfce from Gnome, but that dint fix it. With some nosing, realized it was my development tool - RadRails trying to work up the computers memory with its Java ninja. So to hell with it. There came in Net Beans recommended by my team mate and found that ITS AN AWSOME TOOL !!! I really liked how it handled subversion modifications. uh ho.. sorry for that. I had promised that I will not techie here.
Ok, and after some time of working around, found that the app needed some major changes and by the time, they were fixed, the tests went crazy. Also, I wanted to test the whole app before doing the production deployment. With the help of my team, that went good. Very helpful guys they are.
And, now its 1.30 AM. I do the deploy to staging and wait for confirmation form my client to do a release to production. Green !! Go.. Go.. Go.. cap deploy
Its 2 AM. My team had been waiting just for me to finish my work so we all could have dinner together. We switched on the satellite network TV at the office conference hall and grabbed the parcels.
2.30 AM. I leave my friend at his apartment and got home only to find that there is no power in the neighbourhood. Now how horrible that can be? For me its the height of patience. Never mind. It happens.. In here. So much for a friday which is meant to be a funny day at office by my boss.
